Acerca de Río Secreto

Río Secreto is a nature reserve that opened its doors in 2007. It is located on the Playa del Carmen – Tulum highway in the Xcaret filter. It is a system of semi-flooded underground caves and an underground river in the middle of the jungle. The main attraction of the park is its tour of the river always accompanied by a specialized guide. Within its facilities, it has lockers, parking, restaurant, nature reserve, area for rappelling, bicycle paths, and restrooms with showers.

This beautiful park offers 4 packages for your ticket, according to the activities you want to do.

• Basic: Access to the river, specialized guide, lockers, wetsuit, life jacket, helmet with lamp, towels, food buffet, non-alcoholic beverages.
• Plus: Access to the River, more rappelling, bicycle, entrance to Ruta Seca and Salón de la Paz, specialized guide, lockers, wetsuit, life jacket, helmet with lamp, towels, food buffet, non-alcoholic beverages.
• Wild: Access to the river, bike tour, guided exploration of the cave system, expert guide, personal photographer, use of helmet with lamp, full wetsuit and special shoes, snorkel, goggle and life jacket, breakfast, snack, drinks and buffet lunch at the end of the tour.
• Privilege: Access to the Nature Reserve, specialized guide, personal photographer, safety helmet with lamp, life jacket, drinks and snacks during the tour.

The tour inside the river lasts approximately 1 hour and a half. You will see stalagmites, stalactites, rock formations and caverns. The entrance to the cave is simple, however, keep in mind that you and your little ones will have to walk, crouch and float during some part of the tour. They will observe how some insects and animals have adapted to total darkness, such as bats.

Children over 4 years old can access the river. You can not bring cell phone, camera, or jewelry. You cannot use repellent or sunscreen, bring an extra change of clothes for the children and water shoes. They have round transportation with cost.
