Acerca de La Plaza 28 de Julio

The Plaza 28 de Julio Square is located behind the old Municipal Palace. It is a huge space where every day it is a meeting point for hundreds of children and people riding bicycles, skating, running and even flying kites. After its renovation, they installed a Playground in the grass area with slides, swings and seesaws, as well as some benches for parents to sit down to enjoy them.

Although it does not function as a park, it has elements where children use their creativity. There is a huge fountain surrounded by cement sculptures, there is also a green area where the children rest a bit, logs and ramps that they use to get on and play inside the corridor. If you need a toilet, inside the old palace there is a free one.

To eat something quickly there is an oxxo or every day from 4 o’clock you will find carts of marquesitas and corn. On weekends you will find different events, with food harvests, local crafts, jumper rentals, inflatables and electric carts for children, as well as live music shows. A museum is about to be opened on the premises of what used to be the former municipal palace.
