Acerca de Caleta Yal-Kú

Yal-Kú Cove is one of the most beautiful attractions in Akumal. This lagoon looks like a large pool with crystal clear waters, home to a variety of colorful fish that you can enjoy while snorkeling. When you arrive there is the parking lot and walking a few meters you will find the lockers and the restaurant. It has some wooden benches around it in case you bring food. There are toilets and showers for your comfort.

It is 45 minutes from Playa del Carmen, but I assure you that it will be a worthwhile trip. Its costs are quite affordable compared to other parks that offer similar attractions. They work with packages that I recommend you purchase from their online page to save time and money.

• General Admission: this pass is the cheapest, it includes access to the cove and the rest area that has hammocks.
• Yal-Kú Experience: bring the snorkeling equipment with visor and tube, fins and life jacket. Entrance to the sculpture garden and food in the restaurant.
• Yal-Kú Plus: includes snorkel equipment, life jacket, towels and locker. In addition to a dish to choose from and a non-alcoholic drink.

There are some indications that you must follow, such as the use of chemical-free sunscreens and repellents, as well as respecting the flora and fauna. If you live in Quintana Roo they have special prices presenting your identification when buying your pass. Children under 4 years old are free, if they are between 5 and 11 years old they pay half price.
