The Zoológico Centenario was founded in 1970 as part of the 100th anniversary of Mexico’s independence. In its beginnings, only a Botanical Garden was created. Through the years it was remodeled until it became a zoo that houses more than 600 animals and plants.
This place is one of the children’s favorites and the largest in the southern region that belongs to Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatán. It is divided into two areas, the first section is the animal area, where children will find wild cats, meadows, ruminants, hippopotamuses, primates, herpetarium and the aviary. The other section is more recreational. There are restaurants, the aquarium, the famous kiosk, the botanical garden and one of the most fun areas for children, as there are children’s playground and mechanics.
Here from the smallest to the adults we find a lot of fun. Other activities offered by the Zoológico Centenario are taking a ride on the little train or taking the raft route on the lake. We suggest you visit it early since on weekends or holidays you have to queue.
Do not forget to bring repellent, water and sunscreen. There is an area for you to have your picnic and take your lunch, we ask you not to leave garbage. Likewise, it is not allowed to enter with balls and glass materials.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Me pareció un excelente lugar para ir a pasar un rato, aunque es un zoológico pequeño esta bonito. Las jaulas son pequeñas por lo cual se puede ver casi a todos los animales, hay diversos juegos para los niños, así como áreas para descansar y/o comer. Lo único que no me agradó es que requiere mucho mantenimiento, hay varias jaulas vacías y otras que tienen a los animales que dice el letrero.
