Cenote Canamayte Ecopark This is an ecological park that is located in the town of Rancho Viejo, on the Tulum – Cobá highway. We recommend that if you go by public transport when you get to the town you take a taxi, since the road is quite rustic that if you go on your own you will feel that you have lost yourself. This place is big, to get there there is a big white road.
It has two cenotes, one semi-open and the other open. In the open one (butterfly cenote) the shores are shallow and it is ideal for children. In the close one (Chen ha cenote) you have to go down some stairs to enter the cavern. Within its facilities there are toilets, showers, a restaurant, palapas, tables and chairs, swings, a hammock area, parking, and rental of accessories for your swim.
The vests are already included in the payment of your ticket. The place offers different promotions, if you go from Monday to Saturday the entry fee (approx $350 per adult) is returned in your consumption. Children from 4 to 12 years old pay a lower rate. If you go on Sundays the cost goes up to $399 for adults and $299 for children. It includes the entrance to the two cenotes and a buffet.
At the end of your tour you cannot miss the Mayan purification ritual and they also explain how chocolate is made. Something to consider is that there is no sign anywhere in the place. Un cenote perfecto, pequeño pero maravilloso para pasar un día divertido en familia, el agua templada, no muy fría, muy buen trato, la comida bastante buena. Un lugar genial en medio de la selva.
