El Centro Comunitario Maya Otoch Paal se encuentra ubicado en el poblado de Akumal. Ofrece un bello espacio para los niños de 1.5 a 6 años en donde pueden desarrollar todos su potencial. En Otoch Paal, se imparte una educación fundamentada en la pedagogía Montessori. Es una bella comunidad con elevando compromiso moral. La educación de calidad que podría costar mucho dinero y salirse del presupuesto de las familias de la región. La comunidad, al unir fuerzas, aportan el trabajo que pueden ofrecer para sostener el mantenimiento de la escuela y así, continuar ofreciendo a tus hijos un espacio digno en el que puedan desarrollarse.
Las familias que pueden aportar cuotas mensuales ayudan a sostener las necesidades del personal docente, pagos de servicios, etc., Mientras que Formación Pedagógica Montessoriana aporta el entrenamiento pedagógico continuo a las Guías y Asistentes para que tengan todo el conocimiento para presentar los Materiales de Desarrollo Montessori a los niños.
Siguiendo la Filosofía Montessori, un grupo de mujeres dedicadas, trabajan arduamente para proveer de lo necesario a más de cien pequeños provenientes de familias de bajos recursos de la comunidad maya de Akumal. Es una hermosa comunidad. Todos trabajan y aportan a medida de sus posibilidades. los niños aprenden con método Montessori y el trato es muy amable y cordial. La recomiendo mucho.
