La preparatoria José Antonio Plancarte y Labastida forma parte de un grupo de colegios guadalupanos plancartinos ubicados en todo el país. Debido a que es una escuela católica se fomentan los valores religiosos en conjunto con la preparación intelectual, la creatividad, las ciencias y el afrontamiento de los retos que se presentan en la localidad.
La escuela preparatoria cuenta con tres niveles que tienen el propósito de ubicar a los estudiantes en las universidades del estado o de cualquier lugar en el país. Se fomenta el dominio de los idiomas, principalmente el inglés y el francés de acuerdo a las áreas de especialidad que sean de interés.
Los estudiantes participan en actividades científicas, culturales y religiosas durante el ciclo escolar las cuales tienen el propósito de formar a los estudiantes de manera integral.

Es un colegio muy bueno y muy bonito. La atención que le brindan a los estudiantes es lo mejor así como a los padres de familia.
