Montessori Cancún es la única escuela en Cancún que realmente aplica la filosofía Montessori. Está registrada ante la SEQ y lleva el mismo calendario y parte del programa educativo general, sin embargo el método de enseñanza, los materiales, las instalaciones así como los guías son Montessori. La escuela se ubica dentro del Residencial Campestre por la avenida Colosio.
Cuenta con unas instalaciones muy cómodas y adaptadas a los niveles de los peques. Aquí los salones tradicionales se sustituyen por ambientes amplios, luminosos y con mucha ventilación. Con áreas delimitadas por estantes en los que el orden y la armonía invitan al niño a trabajar con los materiales que en ellos se despliega, proporcionándole libertad de movimiento.
Dentro de modelo educativo se tiene como premisa que el niño decide con qué material comenzar a trabajar, si desea sentarse en el suelo para realizar su trabajo sobre tapetes o bien sentarse en mesas individuales o grupales, dependiendo de la actividad que haya elegido mientras que el guía lo oriente si lo necesita, sin intervenir en la concentración del niño.
Ofrecen los niveles de: Cuarto de bebés: Desde 18 meses hasta 3 años. Casa de los niños: De 3 a 6 años. Taller I: De 6 a 9 años y Taller II: De 9 a 12 años. Los horarios que maneja esta escuela son desde las 8 am hasta las 2 pm, dependiendo del grado es el horario. Tienen actividades extra escolares como fútbol. Un requisito importante a considerar es que la filosofía no solo se lleva a cabo en la escuela, sino también se tiene que aplicar en casa. Por ejemplo el no uso de pantallas, no al consumismo y materiales trabajo.
Las colegiaturas están arriba de los $6,000 pesos mensuales, y la inscripción a partir de $8,000 (costos estimados). Excelso!!! Dos experiencias excelentes con muy buenos resultados. Mis hijos aprendieron a su ritmo y las maestras son muy buenas lo malo es el alto costo de la colegiatura y el ingles no tiene buen nivel.
