Akumal es una de las playas más hermosas que pertenecen a Tulum. Se caracteriza porque además de sus extensas aguas turquesa, es muy común el avistamiento de tortugas cercana a la orilla de la playa. Inclusive sin tener que contratar un tour, puedes nadar unos metros a lo lejos y empezarás a ver la diversidad de fauna marina.
Antes era gratuito, pero ahora cobran para entrar en la cooperativa local (sólo en efectivo) que también da acceso a los baños y duchas. Para los locales no tiene costo. Así mismo hay que pagar el estacionamiento, si es que llevas auto, hay 3 opciones de estacionamiento a lo largo de la entrada.
En la entrada principal hay tiendas de abarrotes, Oxxo y agencias de tours. Sobre la playa hay opciones de restaurantes y day pass que ofrecen algunos hoteles para que hagas uso de las instalaciones. La playa es extensa y sin oleaje, pero en temporada alta se llena. Te sugerimos caminar hacia la derecha y pasando el Hotel Akumal está menos concurrido.
No olvides llevar tu sombrilla y hielera con todo lo necesario en caso de que no quieran entrar a los restaurantes. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Me encantó la playa. Nos tocó un día nublado y ventoso. Pero el agua super cálida, sin olas. Se veían peces, gaviotas, pelícanos. Las palmeras y palapas completan el paisaje. Ideal para hacer snorkel con los niños.
