Acerca de Resident Art Project

Resident Art Project is a curatorial and artistic platform created by Luis Alarcón. This small but very functional cultural space is located inside the La Residencia Condos hotel-condominiums, on 38th street before the beach. From the outside it is very easy to identify, as the eclectic building full of light, in addition to the auto piano that can be seen at the entrance. It is one of the few art galleries in Playa that children can enter.

One of the main objectives of the project is to support the national production of contemporary art, as well as encourage art collecting in the Mexican Caribbean. This gallery has a large exhibition room, a garden and display cases. The entrance is free and is perfect for introducing children to art appreciation.

The car piano which is an icon of the gallery is sometimes allowed to play very carefully, you can ask the receptionist for your children to experience this activity. Something that also attracts a lot of attention to the little ones are the almost life-size airplanes that are exhibited inside, the pieces are not interactive, so we suggest you explain to your little one that they cannot touch them. They usually do events but focused on adults.
