The Leona Vicario Public Library was the first library in Playa del Carmen and opened its doors in 1994. It is located at Av. 15 and Av. Juárez within the Park that bears the same name. Currently, its facilities were remodeled where a deep reconstruction was made, more reading titles were added and high-speed Wi-Fi was installed.
Within its facilities you will find more than 6,000 titles of all categories, two reading rooms, a room with tables and chairs for both children and groups. In this room they usually offer crafts for children and English and Italian classes sporadically. It is also an air-conditioned space. The space is small, but comfortable. To use the free wifii it is necessary to ask the librarian for the password. The toilets are outside.
Among their services they offer book loans to take home. Food cannot be consumed inside the enclosure. This cultural alternative is rarely frequented, I consider it a good option to take the little ones. They can take advantage when they are in the center, read a little and walk in the park.

Me gusta este lugar porque aunque es pequeño se puede aprender mucho. es de los pocos acervos culturales en la ciudad.
