After 66 million years, the dinosaurs are back in Chicxulub. Bring your children to meet them at Sendero Jurasico, an open-air cultural space. This place has only recently opened and it is already a success. We know that Chicxulub fell the meteorite that made the dinosaurs disappear and also thanks to this phenomenon more than 200 cenotes were created in the south of the country.
It is located 30 minutes from the center of Mérida, several dinosaurs are exhibited here and as you go through the place you will be able to listen to all the information on each species. The tour lasts approximately 40 minutes and you do not need a guide. Ask at the box office for the schedule of the “Chencho” dinosaur show, it usually starts at 7 pm and the children will love it.
It is an open-air place surrounded by a lagoon, so we ask you to wear comfortable and repellent clothing, likewise follow the instructions and do not go near the shores due to the natural fauna of the place. The tour is only in the afternoons as the place opens from 5 pm. Both at the entrance and throughout this space there are snack and souvenir shops. There are two restrooms, one at the entrance and the other halfway.
You can take a photo and video of your little ones with all the dinos at no additional cost. The cost is approximately $100 per child and $200 per adult. People who live in Progreso enter for free. Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

We love this place since the opening! We went a few times and by the way the best is Chencho because its really fun.
